      There’s loads of information about vaccination on the local NHS website at https://selondonccg.nhs.uk/what-we-do/covid-19/covid-19-vaccine/     After a year of stop-start lockdowns and restrictions on our lives, we are all hoping the vaccination programme will mean that we can begin to return to normal and meet up with our friends and family. But not just yet. There’s a lot of people still to be vaccinated and nobody knows what effects the variants and mutations will have. What we do know is that the vaccine is safe and will save thousands of lives. Census 2021

Lambeth Carers Card

  Carers’ Hub Lambeth and MYsocial are pleased to announce the launch of the Lambeth Carers Card. The Lambeth Carers Card helps unpaid carers plan for emergencies, and offers useful resources and information for your caring role. What’s included:   In an emergency: The card states up that ‘I am a Carer. Someone depends on me’ with space to add your emergency contact numbers. Rents and service charges from 1 April 2017

Hyde is currently sending out notifications of our rents and service charges for the coming financial year. The Government has instructed Housing Associations like Hyde to reduce rents by 1% (roughly £1 per week) but there is no such restriction on service charges. The charges we have to pay from 1 April are estimates and we advise everyone to look at the figures very closely. Check them against last year’s bill if you still have it. Hyde should have sent out statements of how much was actually spent on services during 2015-16 before Christmas; these figures are meant to form the basis of the estimates for the coming year. These statements are now several months overdue. The Tenants Association has made it clear that we find this unacceptable, particularly since we submitted comments on the invoices for the Estate at the beginning of November.
