Community Safety and Policing Meeting

Community Safety and Policing Meeting 7.00 pm on Tuesday 20 October 2015 Kennington Park Community Centre Following concerns raised at the last TRA meetings, we are holding a special meeting to discuss how we can tackle and reduce anti-social behaviour on the estate. Local Police, Lambeth Council Community Safety, Hyde officers and the Cabinet Member for Community Safety (local Cllr Jane Edbrooke) will joining us. Come and share your concerns, ideas and hear what options we can explore.

Legal advice session 14 October 2015

Legal advice session for tenants of Kennington Park Estate 6.00 pm on Wednesday 14 October 2015 at Kennington Park Community Centre Would you like some legal advice about outstanding disrepair issues? An experienced solicitor will be present to explain some of the technicalities and to offer professional expertise and advice. Annual General Meeting: 23 September 2015

 Our Annual General Meeting is on Wednesday 23 September 2015 at 7pm in the Kennington Park Community Centre.  The agenda is here and the minutes of the 2014 AGM can be found here. The Annual report 2014-15 presented to and approved by the AGM can be found here. It details activities undertaken on behalf of residents, including: Representations to the Chair and Chief Executive of the Hyde Group on behalf of all Hyde Southbank Homes residents Service charge scrutiny and review Challenge to the inappropriate year on year extension of the contract for the CCTV monitoring service including the disproportionate service charge to KPE Negotiations with Hyde management with reference to the proposed redevelopment of the Community Centre site Engagement with the Council and Berkeley Homes on the plan for the redevelopment of the gas holder site Scrutiny of the new cleaning and grounds maintenance contract specification

We shall also be adopting a new constitution, and asking all members present to elect our Officers. This is to ensure our representatives have clear legitimacy and authority in representing our views to Hyde.
