Now the sun’s out, it’s time to brighten up the ‘Hood!
Lambeth Council wants to know how we would like to improve our neighbourhood!
They’ve contacted the TA about two schemes:
The Neighbourhood Enhancement Programme (NEP) and Community Freshview.
The NEP has funding from TFL to pay for improving local streets, doing things like repairing pavements, traffic slowing measures, cycling improvements, planting trees and flowers.
The Community Freshview project involves local residents getting together to brighten up the place, install planters, paint scruffy patches and give the area a bit of a facelift. Lambeth provides the material – we provide the workers!
The recent resurfacing of Magee Street was done as part of these schemes.
